How to get to MSU

Detroit-Wayne County Metropolitan Airport

Michigan State University is located 83 miles west of the Detroit-Wayne County Metropolitan Airport (DTW) which offers domestic and international flights. 

  • Several car rental services are available at DTW.
  • Michigan Flyer Shuttle travels between East Lansing and DTW on a regular schedule. The Michigan Flyer busses have air conditioning and wi-fi and are used frequently by MSU faculty. They run 14 daily round trips and travel time is about two hours. Pickup and drop-off in East Lansing is at the East Lansing Marriott .

    To get to the Kellogg Center from the Michigan Flyer Shuttle: The shuttle drops off and picks up in downtown East Lansing at the East Lansing Marriott at University Place, under the skywalk on Albert Avenue (333 Albert Avenue) From that stop, the conference venue, the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center (219 S. Harrison Road) is about a mile across campus; roughly a five-minute taxi or rideshare, a 20-minute walk or a short ride on a CATA campus bus. Google Map Directions

Capital Regional International Airport 

The Capital Region International Airport (LAN) is approximately 15 miles by car from campus but fewer flight options are available. There are car rental facilities at LAN and various ride services are available.
